Разъем типа TNC (Threaded Neill-Concelman) представляет собой резьбовую версию коннекторов BNC. Данный разъем был разработан в конце 1950-х. Резьбовое соединение, надежно соединяющее вилку и розетку, позволяет использовать TNC в более экстремальных условиях эксплуатации (особенно при воздействии механических ударов и вибраций), чем схожие по размерам соединители BNC . Он имеет бо́льшую эффективность для СВЧ-частот, чем BNC разъём. Существуют две версии соединителя TNC : с волновым сопротивлением 50 и 75 Ом. Также существуют соединители TNC обратной полярности (Reverse Polarity) . Соединитель TNC предназначен в основном для работы с гибкими кабелями. Он совмещает в себе высокий уровень параметров соединителя N и миниатюрность соединителя BNC. Коннекторы TNC применяют в базовых станциях мобильной и сотовой связи , в радарах, ракетах, авиационных системах, измерительной технике, различных устройствах СВЧ (фильтрах, диплексерах и др.).
