Пасхальный рассказ назидателен - он учит добру и Христовой любви; он призван напомнить читателю евангельские истины. Его сюжеты - духовное проникновение, нравственное перерождение человека, воскрешение "мертвых душ". В серии "Пасхальные рассказы" представлены как известные имена русской литературы: Ф. Достоевский, Н. Лесков, А. Чехов, Л. Андреев, А. Куприн, И. Шмелев, И. Бунин, так и ныне забытые беллетристы, авторы многочисленных журнальных и газетных публикаций вековой давности. Пасхальный рассказ связан с событиями от Великого поста до Троицы и Духова дня. Поэтому логическим продолжением цикла служат "Троицкие рассказы", не имеющие столь широкой известности. Однако их авторы знакомы каждому любителю отечественной словесности: В. Никифоров- Волгин, Н. Тэффи, А. Аверченко. Допущено к распространению Издательским Советом Русской Православной Церкви.
