Григорий Израилевич Горин (1940–2000) - советский и российский писатель, драматург, сценарист, комедиограф. Начиная с 1960-х, публиковал фельетоны и юмористические рассказы в отделе юмора журнала "Юность", которым он некоторое время заведовал, а также "Клубе 12 стульев", отделе сатиры и юмора "Литературной газеты". Первые киносценарии Григорий Горин создал в середине 1970-х годов. Фильмы по сценариям Григория Горина давно разошлись на крылатые фразы. В горинских сценариях главное слово, а не действие, реплика и диалог, а не описание. Да и вся его драматургия - это диалог с эпохой. Писал ли он об Англии XVIII века, о маленьком немецком княжестве или о николаевской России - за этими декорациями неизменно проступала советская действительность с ее абсурдом. В этот сборник вошли классические сценарии Григория Горина: "Тот самый Мюнхгаузен", "Формула любви", "Дом, который построил Свифт", "О бедном гусаре замолвите слово", "Убить дракона".
