Полное собрание сочинений выдающегося духовного писателя Сергея Александровича Нилуса в пяти томах включает все его произведения, как выходившие отдельными изданиями, так и те, что рассыпаны в периодике. В первый том вошли книга "Великое в малом" и малоизвестные произведения разных лет. Во второй том вошли сочинения "Сила Божия и немощь человеческая", "Игумен Мануил (в схиме Серафим)", "Для чего и кому нужны православные монастыри". В третий том вошли произведения "Святыня под спудом", "Корень зла: истинная болезнь России", "Сказание о чудотворной иконе Иверской" и "Звезды пустыни". В четвертый том вошла книга "На берегу Божьей реки". Пятый том Полного собрания сочинений Сергея Александровича Нилуса включает обновленный и дополненный текст самой сокровенной книги С.А. Нилуса "Близ есть, при дверех", набранной и напечатанной непосредственно с подлинной рукописи самого писателя: она чудом уцелела в горниле мировых событий. Пять лет пристального труда над новым, совершенно переделанным вариантом своей книги были сопряжены для С.А. Нилуса с тяжелейшими условиями жизни при большевиках. Но вопреки постоянным обыскам, арестам и смертельным угрозам мысль его и перо его были неостановимы. Полный текст книги завершен был С.А. Нилусом осенью 1923 года. Свыше 400 страниц нового текста было включено им в новое издание, которое выходит в свет только теперь. И как восемь десятилетий назад - всё так же живительна его чистая и грозная речь, всё так же неподражаемо выразителен он даже в намеках, понятных благочестивым читателям. 5-й том является 5-м изданием, переделанным и значительно дополненным.
