Воздушно-десантные войска — это род войск Вооруженных Сил, предназначенный для охвата противника по воздуху и выполнения задач в его тылу по нарушению управления войсками, а также по обороне отдельных направлений, районов, открытых флангов, блокированию и уничтожению высаженных воздушных десантов. Но не так просто войска ВДВ называют «войсками дяди Васи». Вооруженные Силы нашей страны обязаны многим советскому военачальнику Василию Филипповичу Маргелову, который командовал ВДВ с 1954 по 1979 гг. Он дал старт техническому перевооружению ВДВ, также разработал огромное количество стратегических операций. И, что немаловажно, поспособствовал созданию символики Воздушно-десантных войск: тельняшек и голубых беретов. Если 2 августа для Вас не просто обычный календарный день, если Вы не понаслышке знаете, как раскрывается в синем небе купол парашюта, если строчки «..расплескалась синева..» не просто слова из песни, то, значит, флаг войск дяди Васи тоже является неотъемлемой частью Ваших армейских воспоминаний.
