Primal Scream («Пра́ймэл скрим») — шотландская рок-группа, основанная Бобби Гиллеспи и Джимом Битти в 1982 году. В настоящее время в состав группы, помимо основателя и бессменного вокалиста Бобби Гиллеспи, также входят гитарист Эндрю Иннес, бас-гитарист Гари Маунфилд, клавишник Мартин Даффи и ударник Даррин Муни. Барри Коддиган выступает в качестве концертного гитариста с 2006 года, временно заменяя гитариста Роберта Янга. Музыкальные пастиши группы включают элементы многих жанров — психоделии, хауса, блюз-рока (в духе The Rolling Stones), бигбита, фанка, краут-рока и даба. Primal Scream выступали вживую с 1982 по 1984 год, но их карьера не пошла вверх, пока Гиллеспи не оставил свою должность барабанщика The Jesus and Mary Chain. Группа была ключевой частью инди-поп-сцены середины 1980-х, но в конце концов отошла от своего звенящего звучания, взяв на себя больше психоделического и гаражного рока, прежде чем включить в свой особый саунд элементы танцевальной музыки на альбоме 1991 года "Screamadelica".
